Using your web-based MapShare™ trip-sharing page, followers can see your progress, ping your device to see your GPS location and exchange messages during your trip.

Weather

Receive weather forecasts directly on your device enabled with inReach technology, so you can make educated decisions based on local conditions or the destination ahead. Choose from 3 forecasts on your inReach device: basic, premium nonmarine and premium marine. When using premium handhelds, you can use the device’s weather functions — such as animated radar and rain alerts — without tapping into your satellite subscription.

Interactive SOS

In case of emergency, trigger an interactive SOS message to GEOS, a professional 24/7 global emergency monitoring and response coordination center. Their trained staff is available to respond to your messages, track your device and notify emergency responders in your area – giving you the peace of mind that help is on the way. GEOS will stay in touch with you and your emergency contacts until your situation is resolved.

Earthmate is a full-featured GPS navigation app and off-the-grid satellite connection. With Earthmate, you can use your smartphone or tablet to access downloadable maps, U.S. NOAA charts, color aerial imagery and more. Pairing via Bluetooth with compatible inReach-enabled products lets you use the app on your mobile device to send two-way text messages – and even link to your social media accounts – globally.
